Mental Health & Wellbeing

At Coleg Cambria, we take a proactive approach to health and wellbeing. A wide range of workshops are planned throughout the academic year to help and support both staff and students.

We hope to encourage everyone to take responsibility for their own health and wellbeing.

Our aim is to:

  • Build awareness
  • Improve wellbeing
  • Support and encourage staff and students to adopt and maintain healthy behaviours

If you have any questions or need support please email Wellbeing@cambria.ac.uk.

Health & Wellbeing Portal

The Health and Wellbeing Portal, alongside the Events Calendar, includes details on topics such as health check clinics, information sessions, details on mental health first aiders, physical activities available to staff & students and information and education to help keep health and well.

Wellness Hubs

The Wellness Hubs are designed to support an individual or groups physically, emotionally, intellectually and with self care/support, which is the ethos behind the teaching and delivery of our Active Cambria Mind, body and soul sessions. Educating individuals to have a holistic approach to their well being. Staff and students can use the hubs to develop or be supported by staff with a balance of their own wellness, in the areas they are not balanced in.

The Wellness Hubs are located on the Yale Campus next to Student Services.

Active Cambria

The College has a vision to engage all our students in becoming active, healthy and mindful.

Active Cambria supports this vision by offering free fitness, wellness and health activities and advice days to all students at Coleg Cambria, throughout the year. Engaging and supporting you to change any bad habits into good ones and become active during your time here. We have seen many students prosper from the opportunities given to them, such as increase in confidence, improved emotional development and weight loss. These activities consist of Pilates, Yoga, weights, mind fullness, football, table tennis and many more.

To find out what is available for you please join the Active Cambria Google community for your site, check out the website or look at our site-wide television screens.

Mental Health

The College is committed to supporting the mental wellbeing of all of our students and we can offer various forms of help and advice. Visit the Hub’s Mental Health Support page to find out more.
