At Coleg Cambria, we support our learners as they move to college. Some learners may need a personalised approach and we can offer support throughout the transition process. All decisions about support are evidence-based and agreed at our weekly Inclusion Panel.

We can support you before starting college by offering

  • Advice and guidance for an Education Plan e.g. a Learning and Skills Plan (LSP), an Individual Development Plan (IDP) or an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP).  Please contact our Learning Support Coordinators. They will discuss your needs and make sure that support is in place.
  • Attendance at school reviews
  • Virtual Tours 
  • 1:1 college tours and visits including meeting with tutors
  • Open days and evenings
  • Accessible ‘Talk and Tour’ events
  • Support at interview
  • Taster days
  • Summer Academy (ILS only) 

Enrolment and Induction – We can support you in the early days of college with

  •  Meeting the ALN Specialist Lecturers, who will discuss your support needs.
  •  Working with Inclusion and ASD Mentors
  • Support to access college transport
  • Clubs (including Student Voice clubs)
  • N-Gage

The next steps – We can support you as you move on from college

  • Multi-agency reviews
  • Referral to external agencies
  • Advice on DSA and Access to Work grants
