Keeping Everyone Safe

At Coleg Cambria, making sure everyone feels safe and secure is really important to us. To help keep a safe environment where everyone can thrive, we need to know who is on our campuses at all times.

Why is it important that you wear your College ID and Lanyards?

Wearing your Coleg Cambria student ID badge clearly is how we make sure that only members of our college community can move freely and safely around campus.

To make sure your ID badge is always clearly visible, we use lanyards that say “Student” on them in the Cambria brand colours.

What’s changing?

We’ve listened to your feedback, and after the Easter break, you’ll have more choice about how you display your ID badge and the lanyard you use.

You MUST choose one of these options:

Option 1: Stay as is…..keep using your current lanyard

You can stick with the standard college branded student lanyard if you’d like.

Option 2: Swap your current lanyard for a plain red one

If you’d prefer a plain red student lanyard, you can swap your current one. Just speak to your Tutor, and they will give you one. Remember: you that it MUST be worn at all times on campus.

Medical Conditions & Health and Safety

In some areas, where health and safety means lanyards aren’t suitable but to help you wear it around the campus, or if you have a medical condition or sensory need, speak to your tutor about a different way to display your ID.

Important things to remember:

• You’ve got options but you MUST choose one and display your ID at all times while on campus
• If you lose your ID badge, you’ll need to go to Reception to get a replacement. You won’t be able to access campus without one.
